Unlike a number of the players we represent, Alfy Whittingham did not graduate through an academy system, despite briefly being a part of Portsmouth’s academy as a youngster. Alfy has had an impressive rise through non-league football, making his senior debut at AFC Totton while on loan from Havant & Waterlooville. Alfy also spent time on loan at Petersfield Town before leaving Havant to join Hungerford.

Alfy enjoyed an impressive spell at Hungerford Town, winning their Young Player of the Year award and contributing with a number of important goals.

The tough tackling midfielder then signed for Aldershot, having impressed in pre-season. Initially, Alfy worked as a PT alongside football in order to keep his dream of being a pro alive. Alfy has now spent 3 seasons with The Shots, appearing 66 times and scoring 6 goals in the process. At just 23 years old, Alfy has played around 250 senior games of football, which explains his maturity at such a young age.
